🩼 MobilityIO is a prototype that adds rich interactiveness - both input and output - to mobility devices.

🔆 Highlights

  • Rich set of I/O components that are ready to be integrated to tubular things (e.g. walking canes).
  • Demo application built with p5.js that demonstrated the functionalities of I/O components, which was further used to inspire discussions in the follow-up user workshop. WebBLE was used to connect the p5.js app to the prototype.

🍾 This is part of a project that I done in the Make4All Group, with PhD Jerry Cao. I was responsible for designing and engineering of the MobilityIO protoype shown on this page. This project was a collaborative effort with Jerry Cao, Krish Jain, and Julie Zhang, advised by Prof. Jennifer Mankoff and Shwetak Patel.
